Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 June 2026

This policy explains what personal data TracerTakeOffs collects, why, and what your rights are. For UK data protection law, the “controller” of your personal data is EastonUK Limited (company no. 09613246, registered in England and Wales), trading as Tracer Takeoffs, of 62 The Street, Rustington, West Sussex, BN16 3NR, United Kingdom.

1. The information we collect

  • Account details — your name and email address, and (for email sign-up) a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and Google account identifier.
  • Your content — the PDF drawings you upload and the measurements, groups and labels you create.
  • Billing information — your subscription status and history. Card payments are taken by Stripe; we receive confirmation and limited details (such as the card’s last four digits and country) but never your full card number.
  • Technical and usage data — basic information your browser sends (such as IP address and device or browser type) and logs we keep to run the Service securely and fix problems.

2. How we use your information

  • to provide the Service — storing your drawings and measurements and serving them back to you;
  • to create and manage your account and to sign you in;
  • to take payment and manage your subscription;
  • to provide support and respond to your messages;
  • to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults;
  • to send you essential service messages (we will not send marketing without your consent).

3. Our legal bases (UK GDPR)

  • Contract — to provide the Service and take payment under these Terms.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and improve it, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — to keep records (for example, tax and accounting).
  • Consent — where we ask for it, such as any optional communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run TracerTakeOffs, who process it on our instructions:

  • Vercel — application hosting;
  • Neon — database (accounts, jobs, drawings metadata, measurements);
  • Cloudflare R2 — storage of your uploaded PDF files;
  • Stripe — payment processing and billing;
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the security of the Service.

5. International transfers

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UK we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) so it stays protected.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and content for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your drawings, measurements and uploaded files. We may keep limited billing and transaction records for up to seven years where the law requires, and routine backups may persist for a short period before being overwritten.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access a copy of your personal data;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where we relied on it.

To exercise any of these, email tracertakeoffs@protonmail.com. You can also delete your account yourself from your account settings.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We store a few preferences (such as light/dark mode and your interface size) in your browser’s local storage. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls scoped to your account. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will tell you and the relevant authority about a breach where the law requires.

10. Children

TracerTakeOffs is a tool for professionals and is not intended for children under 13.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will change the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant we will let you know in the app or by email.

12. Contact us and complaints

For any privacy question, email tracertakeoffs@protonmail.com or write to 62 The Street, Rustington, West Sussex, BN16 3NR, United Kingdom. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we hope you will contact us first so we can put things right.
